About
A mix of cult, creativity and sound self-irony characterizes the argyle brand. The traditional Burlington pattern has been known for ages. But where does it have its origins? The Burlington brand is rooted in Scotland, or rather with the Scottish clans of the early 18th century. Used as a means of identification, every clan had its own tartan with a specific sequence of colours. The Campbell clan was known for its so-called Black Watch tartan – the source of inspiration for the Burlington argyle. Today, Burlington’s argyle stands for both tradition and modern spirit. And even when we have set out in search of new directions, we have never forsaken our origins.
