MET IN JEANS & EASY MET
Everyone’s in MET jeans again, which for next winter is presenting a collection with a strong personality where concepts for the basic pieces are Baroque, crazy rock, the ever popular camoufl age, and transgressive animal prints. The leading role in this collection still goes undoubtedly to the prints: allover prints, tone-on-tone, or prints mixed in contrast with fl ocking. Gold Mylar and shiny prints for the Baroque group which presents garments that are more refi ned and out of the ordinary. Gold pixelated prints on black and black denim with blue weft, also reversible pieces with coated effects, and allover shimmering Mylar for true rock elegance. The military group has camoufl age prints on denim with gold Mylar for a chic, glamorous touch. The concentration of fl ock print gives each garment an unusual and sophisticated look, and the group is further enhanced by fur waistcoats with camoufl age printing. Within the basic collection, substantial space has been given over to the animal theme developed as minimal allovers with different types of print such as snakeskin on denim which gives a sophisticated effect to an apparently basic garment, or crocodile skin fl ock print for an aggressive look. This strong, aggressive look was made possible by a special coating applied to the animal prints which offer an alternative to traditional variations, with brighter, younger tones. For a more refi ned touch, MET has created a fur waistcoat that evokes the Yeti look, latest trend for all AW 2013/14 collections. Numerous shades of denim, from cloudy to marble effects, from no-wash denim to plain dyed, or shaded from the bottom up giving emphasis to the female leg. Comfortable dungarees, an essential MET garment, to be worn during the day or as eveningwear in a casual or super-chic way.
